Woven fish basket. Black pattern perhaps painted on on the outside. Shape is wider at the bottom and narrow around the rim.

Walking Stick or staff from Cook Islands. Made from coconut wood, with a square sectioned handle and a round knob on top. There are diamond and triangle shaped pearl shell inserts in the handle.

Ipu (drinking Vessel), Hawaii/United States of America, coconut shell

A coconut-shell drinking vessel called an Ipu. Label affixed to the side printed in ink "[M]ASTERTON MUSEUM" and handwritten in brown  ink "King Kalakawa's / Drinking Bowl." Probably 'King Kalākaua.'

A wooden Ai Cula Ni Bokola (cannibal fork) from Fiji. Fork has 5 prongs arounded in a circle rather than a straight line like European forks. Carved wooden handle.

Tā'iri (fan), Fiji, Coconut leaf, sennit fibre, black pandanus

Rough diamond shaped woven fibre fan with handle. Decorated with 4 rows of offset spots of dark colour from each side crossing above the handle.
