This workshop is connected to the exhibition Ngā Haerenga/ Journeys – Celebrating Matariki.
Wairarapa artist and ecologist Sam Ludden brings his passion for clay and river creatures together for a special public programme at Aratoi.
Sam's knowledge about local wildlife is enthralling and he will share his expertise about the long fin eel and the giant kōkopu, both migratory creatures, and how people can learn from observing their life cycles.
Using clay, he will guide you through techniques and the process to make your own unique Giant Kōkopu to take away.

Price includes:
* 2 hour workshop/kōrero making your Giant Kōkopu with Sam

* Glazing and firing (Takarua/Winter Firing end of September 2022)

Aratoi will contact you to pick up your creations when they are ready.
