A mixed media exhibition about op shops, recycling and consumerism in the era following the global financial crisis. Paintings explore op shops as sites of memory and ‘museums and reference libraries of the recent past’. The exhibition features ‘The Free Store’, an interactive, cashless economy which will be running for the duration of the show and is accompanied by an illustrated booklet with contributions by Wairarapa writers.
This exhibition is part of the Kokomai Creative Festival. 18 - 27 October 2013.
