Sam Duckor-Jones - FIRST I LAY WITH ADAM

Sam Duckor-Jones will open his exhibition FIRST I LAY WITH ADAM with a poetry reading on Wednesday 1 May, which is Global Love Day – apt, as his large ceramic works in neon pink are made as a personal response to queerness.

Here is the phantom shimmer of pore & vessel & follicle

SAM DUCKOR-JONES makes ceramics and writes from his home in Featherston, Wairarapa. He examines queerness, intimacy and voice in his work. He has exhibited extensively across New Zealand and a new major public work of eight large ceramic figures was installed at Wellington Airport in January 2019. He is represented by Bowen Galleries in Wellington.
