Aratoi School Holiday Workshop - Week one - Matariki Inspired Tiles
After looking at the meaning of Matariki, children will have the opportunity to design and make a clay tile. Their completed tiles will be available for collection on Wednesday, August 3rd. If participating in the week two workshop they can also glaze their tiles during the second week.
Tuesday, Wednesday ,Thursday July 19 - 21 from 2:00pm - 4:00pm
Cost: $10 per day (materials included)

Week Two - Making clay hematau - Maori Fishing Hooks
This week children will take part in designing and shaping a fishing hook out of clay. We will also look at some of the meanings of hematau (fishing hooks) and weave a band for their fish hook. (time allowing) There will also be time to glaze tiles from the week one workshop.
Tiles and fish hooks will be available for pick up the following Wednesday, August 3rd.
