Spirit of the 60s - A Kokomai Gala Fundraiser

Date
12 September 2020, 7:00pm - 8:30pm
Location
Aratoi Foyer

Kokomai is excited to announce the first of our 2020 programme events.

A gala fundraiser with the opportunity to view the exhibition of exceptional Michael Cooper photography - for the first time in the Wairarapa.

Michael Cooper was at the epicentre of the Sixties, a Vogue fashion photographer who lived and partied with Keith Richards and captured on camera a who’s who of the times - the creative, the rich and the famous. The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Marianne Faithfull, Andy Warhol and John Paul Getty to name a few of his friends that he photographed.

Publisher David Hedley, owner of the collection, which was first exhibited in 1990 at Carly Simon’s River Run Gallery in New York, will share the epic story of Michael Cooper and how the Book and Exhibition all came to be.

The Kokomai team is a buzz with the opportunity to indulge in the food and dress of the time and party the night away 60s style. The evening will be filled with delights including the opportunity to win a variety of 'surprise prizes'.

NB: Tickets are limited to 100 in line with Level 2 restrictions.
A refund will be available if the event is unable to go ahead.
