Talk: Ngā Toka o Te Awa, The Rocks in the River

Every rock has a story to tell. You might clamber over them without much thought when you walk your dog, go for a swim or launch a kayak, but if you look closely, each rock is unique. For the four main rivers that flow from the Tararua Ranges -- the Waiohine, Waingawa, Waipoua and Ruamahanga -- the rocks tell the story of their journey and of their ancient origins hundreds of millions of years ago. Geologist Chris Hollis will help the rocks tell their stories.
