Zac Hinterwood and Antony Milton are the duo Perpets.
Perpets as a 'project' is a means for exploring semi-formal minimalism with each track attempting to use only a restricted range of notes and a focus of decay of those said notes.
"The compositional notes behind the pieces frequently start out with a wilful exploratory/ experimental disregard for consonance, but somehow of a result of each of the players' long ingrained playing styles, tend to drift back towards consonance." says Zac.
Perpets and Jurczenko have performed together previously with Rosalie painting alongside their live gig. Their music is improvised and intuitive guitars. Perpets have recorded albums in various locations such as the stairwell of the former Watson Gallery and by Wairarapa moana, capturing the sounds in the environment.
