NZQA’s annual Top Art exhibition is halfway through its 2011 tour around New Zealand. Top Art represents a selection of the top 55 Visual Arts portfolios from students who gained Excellence in NCEA Level 3 in 2010. Top Art showcases the best of the five streams of Visual Arts; photography, design, printmaking, sculpture and painting. Students have also written information about the development of their work. The touring exhibition gives students and teachers an understanding of what is required to achieve Excellence in Visual Art at Level 3. The public can also see the impressive work which secondary students are producing.
